DAY 1: ABROAD - DELHI              

Board the flight. Stay in Transit at Delhi Airport to connect the flight to Kathmandu 

 

 

DAY 2:  - DELHI – KATHMANDU

Arrive Kathmandu, meet assist with our representative at airport and transfer to hotel. Check into the hotel.

Later city tour of Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath and Bodhnath. Overnight at hotel. 


DAY 3:  -  KATHMANDU – PATAN – PASHUPATINATH - BODHNATH

In morning after breakfast, drive to Patan for full day Sight seeing. 

 

The ancient city of Patan is situated on the southern bank of the river Bagmati and is about five kilometers southeast of Kathmandu. The city is full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments with bronze gateways, guardian deities and wonderful carvings. Noted for its craftsmen and metal workers, it is known as the city of artists. The major visitor attractions of Patan are

 

DURBAR SQUARE: Patan Durbar Square, situated in the heart of the city, is the main tourist attraction. The square is full of ancient palaces, temples, and shrines noted for their exquisite carvings. One can rummage for treasures and souvenirs in the various shops around the square. 

 

KRISHNA MANDIR, MAHABOUDDHA, HIRANYA VARNA MAHAVIHAR, KUMBHESHWOR and THE ASHOKAN STUPAS.  

 

In evening back to hotel for overnight stay. 


DAY 4:  -  KATHMANDU – BHATGAON

In morning after breakfast, drive to Bhatgaon for full day Sight seeing.

 

Bhaktapur, the “Ancient city of Asia” was previously known as “Bhatgaon”. “Bhat” means rice and “gaon” means village. Since the occupation of the natives was agriculture and rice was cultivated in a large percentage the place was so called as Bhatgaon. These days Bhatgaon has been replaced by Bhaktapur which literally means the “city of devotees”. “Bhakta” means devotee and “pur” means place or city. Bhaktapur is shaped like a “conch-shell” and is surrounded all over by Hanumanthe River. It is a small city within an area of 6.88 sq. km which lies 14 km east of Kathmandu

 

In evening back to hotel for overnight stay.  


DAY 5:  -  KATHMANDU – VARANASI

In morning after breakfast transfer to Kathmandu airport for flight to Varanasi. On arrival Varanasi, meet assist with our representative and transfer to hotel.  

 

Afternoon, city tour Sarnath.

 

This is the place where Buddha chose to deliver his first sermon. The celebrated Mantra, 'Buddham Sharanam Gachhami', owes its origin to Sarnath. On the day before his death Buddha included Sarnath along with Lumbini, Bodh Gaya and Kushinagar as the four places he thought to be sacred to his followers. It makes Sarnath one of the most venerated Buddhist places. Besides Buddhism, Sarnath is also connected with Jainism.  

 

There are many Buddhist monuments and edifices in Sarnath. Some of the important Buddhist monuments at Sarnath are the Dhamekha stupa, the Chaukhandi stupa and monasteries and temples of different schools of Buddhism from Japan, China, Thailand, Burma and others. The Indian Buddhist society called Mahabodhi Society maintains a park around the Buddha temple. The Mahabodhi Temple within the park has a tooth relic of the Buddha. There is also a vast expanse of ancient ruins at Sarnath. Several Buddhist structures were raised at Sarnath between the 3rd century BC and the 11th century AD, and today it presents the most expansive ruins amongst places on the Buddhist trail. The Ashoka pillar of Sarnath is the National emblem of India. 

 

In evening transfer to Ghats at Ganges to watch Live Indian way of Praying called “AARTI”. Later transfer back to hotel. Overnight at hotel. 


DAY 6:  -  VARANASI – KHAJURAHO ( By Flight)

Early morning boat ride at river Ganges. After boat ride transfer back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast city tour of Varanasi.

 

Tourist Attractions:- Ganga Ghats or Holy Ghats of River Ganges, Asi Ghat, Dasaswamedh Ghat, Kashi Vishwanath temple, Bharat Mata temple, Durga temple.

 

Later, transfer to airport for flight to Khajuraho. On arrival at Khajuraho, meet assist with our representative and transfer to hotel.

 

Later, site seeing of Khajuraho. Overnight at hotel. 

 

DAY 7: - KHAJURAHO – ORCHHA ( By Road) ( 4 hrs appx.)

 

In morning after breakfast, drive to Orchha. On arrival check into the hotel. Later, visit Orchha.

 

Tourist Attractions:- Chaturbhuj Temple, Ram Raja Temple, Laxminarayan Temple, Orchha's fort complex, Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Rai Parveen Mahal, Chhatris (Cenotaphs).

 

In evening transfer back to hotel. Overnight at Orchha. 

 

DAY 8:  -  ORCHHA – AGRA Via Jhansi ( By Train)

In morning transfer to Jhansi Railway station to board the train to Agra. On arrival at Agra railway station, meet assist with our office representative and transfer to hotel. 

 

PM: - Short tour of Agra.

 

In evening transfer back to hotel for overnight stay.

 

DAY 9:  AGRA

Early morning visit Taj Mahal. Visit Taj Mahal and then return back to Hotel. Breakfast at hotel. Later full day city tour of Agra.

 

Tourist Attractions: Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb, Fatehpur Sikri.

 

Taj Mahal:- Described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, it was constructed by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal, made out of white marble took 22 years to complete (1630-1652 AD). Ustad Ahamad Lahori, a Persian Architect, is said to be the main designer and planner for this magnificent memorial. On full moon nights, the glory of the Taj is at its best. Legend has it that once the construction was completed, Shah Jehan had Lahori's hands cut off and his eyes gouged out, so he would never be able to duplicate the structure.

 

Agra Fort: - Construction of the massive red sandstone Agra Fort on the bank of the Yamuna River was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565, though additions were made up until the rule of his grandson, Shah Jahan. In Akbar's time the fort was principally a military structure, but during Shah Jaha regin it had partially become Palace. It is an imposing strcture with walls of red sandstone almost three kilometers long.  

 

DAY 10:  -  AGRA – JAIPUR Via Fatehpur Sikri       (5 hours)  (293 Kms)

In morning after breakfast leave for Jaipur. On the way visit Fatehpur Sikri.

 

Fatehpur Sikri:- Fatehpur Sikri was built during 1571 and 1585. Today this ghost city has a population of about 30,000. This deserted city has retained many of the old structures, because of the efforts of the Archaeological department. 

 

After Fatehpur Sikri continue drive to Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur, transfer to hotel and overnight stay in hotel.

 

In evening transfer to Chokhi Dhani Restaurant for traditional style Indian Dinner. Later, back to hotel for overnight stay.

 

DAY 11:  -  JAIPUR

In morning after breakfast, full day city tour of Jaipur.

 

More about Jaipur:-Popular in the name of Pink City, Jaipur is and important destination in Golden Triangle of Indian tourism. Founded in 1727 AD by one of the greatest rulers of the Kachhawaha clan, the astronomer king Sawai Jai Singh. The pink color was used at the time of making to create an impression of red sandstone buildings of Mughal cities - and repainted in 1876, during the visit of the Prince of Wales.

 

Jantar Mantar is one of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh whose ruling passion was astronomy. It was built between 1728-34 and consists of observer’s seat, sundial and a number of enormous instruments used to calculate altitude, locate and identify celestial bodies. These instruments are extremely accurate. . Amber, 11 km from Jaipur is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Built in the 16th and early 17th centuries by Raja Man Singh and his successor Jai Singh I, it sprawls dramatically on a hillside overlooking the Maotha Lake. The white marble and red sandstone complex has some interesting apartments of a kind found nowhere else.

 

In evening transfer back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.  

 

DAY 12:  - JAIPUR – DELHI Via Amber Fort (By Road) (250 Kms) (4 hrs appx.) 

In morning after breakfast, drive to Delhi. On way visit Amber Fort. After Amber fort continue drive to Delhi. On arrival check into the hotel.

 

In evening Sound and Light show at Red Fort and Dinner at Historical Restaurant in Red Fort. Later transfer back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

     

 

DAY 13:  -  DELHI

In morning after breakfast, full day city tour of Delhi.

 

India’s capital city, Delhi is the second most widely used entry point into the country, being on the route of most major airlines. It is well linked by rail, air and road to all parts of the country. The remains of seven distinctive capital cities – among them Shahjahanabad and Qutab Minar – can be seen. Here, museums, art galleries and cultural centers attract the finest exhibitions and performances from India and abroad.

 

Tourist Attractions: - Jama Masjid, Rajghat, Gandhi Memorial Museum) & NEW DELHI (Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, Qutab Minar, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Lotus Temple).

 

In evening transfer to Chokhi Red Fort for style Indian Dinner with Folk dance and music. Later, back to hotel for overnight stay.

 

DAY 14: - DELHI – ABROAD

 

Transfer to Delhi International airport for flight back to home
